IrishMowers.com is a domain name owned by AM Rentals, Newry. AM Rentals are a garden machinery retailer with a fully stocked shop based in Co. Down. We have grown to become one of the largest resources for lawnmowers and ride on lawnmowers in Ireland. We are retailers for all the biggest names in lawnmowers and chainsaws including Snapper, Husqvarna, Honda, Stihl, Weibang, Ego, Cobra and Oleo Mac. We believe in supplying our customers with reliable machines at great prices, coupled with an unbeatable back-up service.

AM Rentals started off, as the name would suggest, as a tool and plant hire company in Newry way back in 1980. We noticed the demand for machinery sales in the town and began to stock generators, lawnmowers, water pumps and other construction and DIY machines. We quickly established ourselves as the premier tool hire, sales and service center in the area. AM Rentals soon out-grew their original premises and after only a few years in business we moved a few doors down to our current home in Cornmarket.

In 2005 we launched our first website - esaleslocal.com. This was designed to bring our products to customers all over Ireland. We have since enjoyed a great relationship with our customers, whether they're from Down, Armagh, Dublin or Kerry. We offer our customers great value on dependable and reputable garden machinery brands. From our vast experience, gained over 45 years, we know which brands will be reliable and which brands won't. This is the reason we choose to supply only reputable, tried and tested brand names with a complete and reliable spare parts back up for future years. In late 2025 we launched our latest website batterypower.ie to bring our range of battery powered garden machinery to the Irish marketplace. This is our first ecommerce website and we are constantly updating it with new machinery and accessories from brands like Stihl, Husqvarna and Ego.

We use the Irish Mowers website purely as a shop front for all of our products. To purchase any of our products you can phone, email or call into our Newry store, from there we will take your order and send out your new machine. The reason we do not partake in internet selling is due to the often complex nature of buying a garden machine. We find it is beneficial for the customer to talk to our experienced staff before buying. This way we can discuss your individual needs and we can be happy we are supplying a machine that best suits you. From our shop in Newry we are ideally situated to serve the whole country with Dundalk only 10 minutes away, Dublin only 1 hour away and the midlands only 1 hour 30 minutes away.

When it comes to buying a new machine from us you can be safe in the knowledge that you are buying a great machine at our best price. We check all machines before we deliver them. We assemble all our ride on lawnmowers and deliver them personally. For most smaller items like chainsaws, hedge trimmers and garden strimmers we assemble them as far as is practical and start them to ensure they are running properly. We then box them and send them via courier for 24 - 48 hour delivery.

The after sales service we offer our customers is the best in the industry and backed up by our highly skilled and experienced technicians. Any item purchased on our website is fully backed by Irish Mowers.
